This church was built in the 1850s of a Staffordshire blue brick with limestone dressing construction. It is in the early English style. The school and vicarage were built to the same design but sadly the vicarage was demolished in 1965. The former school which is next to the church, has been converted into offices although the character of the original building remains.
The research information will be added to this page as soon as possible.

An amazing display of various styles of old headstones, St James Church, Wollaston (2008).
This photograph portrays the old graves and monuments that remain near to the church. It would appear that some clearance may have already taken place, due to the area of grass in the foreground.
